A few words about investing in therapy
You may wonder if therapy is worth the investment. Many people don’t think they deserve to dedicate resources to caring for themselves or to working with their partners in therapy. You may feel that you should be able to figure things out on your own. However, it’s often tough to navigate life’s individual and relational challenges by yourself.
Therapy repeatedly proves itself to be one of the most valuable investments you can make in yourself and/or in your relationships. When we come from a place of self-understanding, emotional attunement, and personal agency, we meet our partners, sexuality, creative life, career, and family challenges with energy and compassion. As a result, our lives are more often what we want them to be.
Dreams are the guiding words of the soul. Why should I henceforth not love my dreams and not make their riddling images into objects of my daily consideration?

A Note on Insurance:
Sometimes people wonder why I don’t take insurance. There are many facets to this decision, but here are two primary reasons you may want to consider in deciding what is right for you. Therapy without the use of traditional insurance provides:
Maximum Privacy: This means that, excluding particular legal circumstances, your mental health records and treatment details stay out of insurance company databases.
Customized Care: Your therapeutic care is developed based on our collaboration and your needs, not on the requirements of the rigid insurance based medical diagnosis model. This means that we can work with the particular model(s) and length of time/number of sessions that best supports your healing as clinically appropriate, without being circumscribed by the demands of insurance companies.
Good Faith Estimate:
As a client, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” in order to know how much your mental health care will cost. Healthcare providers are required to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have a right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your therapist, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate prior to scheduling a service.
